WONDERWEST Camp Ground Vattavada

About this camp

WONDERWEST Camp Ground is a tent camp on a tea ridge in Vattavada, near Munnar. Tents face the valley. On a clear morning the clouds sit below the camp.

The stay is one night. A jeep picks you up at 3:00 pm on day one. You leave by 11:00 am the next day. Meals, a plantation walk, campfire and a sunrise trek are included.

Pickup is at 18th Mile, near Arun tea stall. You travel 1 km by jeep, then walk 500 m to the camp. Bring only a light bag.

Itinerary

Day 1

• 3:00 pm Pickup at 18th Mile
• 4:00 pm Welcome drink
• 4:30 pm Tent allotment
• 5:00 pm Plantation walk
• 6:00 pm Tea and snacks
• 7:30 pm Dinner
• 8:00 pm Campfire and music
• 10:30 pm Tent stay with sleeping bag. Tents are shared. Couples get a separate tent.

Day 2

• 5:30 am Wake-up call
• 5:45 am Black tea
• 6:00 am Sunrise trek to the hilltop
• 8:30 am Breakfast
• 9:00 am Freshen up
• 11:00 am Sign-off

Check-in is 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Check-out is 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Dinner

Ghee rice, chappathi, chicken curry, chicken fry, dal curry for vegetarians, veg salad and pickle.

• Top valley trek — ₹300 per person (2 km by jeep, then 2 km on foot)
